The presenter is Dr. Peter Lichtenberg, the executive Director of Wayne State University – Institute of Gerontology. Dr. Lichtenberg has worked as a clinical geropsychologist, researcher, program director and national leader in gerontology for 34 years. He has contributed significantly in areas including financial exploitation, Alzheimer’s disease and late-life depression.
Dr. Lichtenberg is nationally known for his work on financial decision-making, capacity, vulnerability and undue influence in older adults. In 2020, he won the Specialty Board Award in Geropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology and was elected president of the Gerontological Society of America.
