Contingency Action Fund (CAF)

by NCRO

To NCRO Members, Chrysler Salaried Retirees and other interested parties:

While most of the news surrounding FCA has been positive, we all know that the automotive industry is cyclical and we need to be prepared for anything that could negatively affect our pensions and benefits so; your financial support is needed to build the Contingency Action Fund (CAF). The CAF has been established to pay for legal expenses, legislative work associated with protecting retirement health care, and pension benefits. The CAF was established to provide funds, if and when needed, to support necessary actions by the NCRO to protect our pensions and benefits in case of any future actions by FCA or in case of a possible bankruptcy that might put our benefits in jeopardy.

To support this we are asking you to contribute any amount to the CAF. Don’t expect the next guy to support this fund and pay for these costs! It’s up to all of us. It could potentially cost hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to have representation in the courts and legislature. The CAF has been established to pay for these costs. As an individual we cannot afford to be properly represented but as a group we can stand tall and be counted on to protect our futures.
